Sample itinerary (5 days)
Day 1 — Arrival
Pick-up at the airport, move to the hotel. Evening fishing if time allows.
Day 2–4 — Full fishing days
Land-based & boat casting on the rivers. Style changes by river and condition.
Day 5 — Departure
Morning fishing (half day), then transfer to the airport.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own tackle?
Bringing your own baitcasting setup (PE 3–4) is recommended for the best experience, but spare rods, reels and proven lures are available — just ask when booking.
Is it safe for foreign visitors?
Negros Island is one of the friendliest rural areas in the Philippines. You will be with a resident guide the whole time, fishing rivers I have known for 8 years, with good relationships with the local communities.
What is the physical difficulty?
Moderate. Boat days are easy; land-based days involve some walking on riverbanks. Tell me your preference and I will plan the rivers accordingly.
Can beginners or non-fishing partners join?
Absolutely. Casting lessons are included, and non-fishing companions can enjoy the boat ride, island food and scenery at a reduced rate — contact me for details.
What about mobile data & connectivity?
Local SIM/eSIM (Globe or Smart) works in town and at most rivers. Hotels have Wi-Fi. eSIM can be bought online before you fly.
When is the best season?
November to May (the dry season). River conditions are most stable from January to April. Peak dates book out early — check the availability calendar.
